I love spicy food. Not necessarily mouth-on-fire hot, although I enjoy the heat of chiles in moderation. But I also like the spice of ginger or the bite of horseradish. I like Southwestern and Mexican spicy dishes as well as the ones from Cajun cuisine (like this shrimp with red eye gravy). My latest favorite is ginger-scallion sauce, which turns regular chicken noodle soup into an exotic but comforting dinner on chilly fall days.
