I call this drink a Snappy Caesar because like a Red Snapper, it uses gin instead of vodka, and like a Caesar, it substitutes Clamato for regular tomato juice. If you like regular Bloody Marys, you'll love this.
Yield: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 4 ounces dry gin
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce (I use sriracha)
- 1/4 teaspoon prepared horseradish
- 1/8 teaspoon celery salt or Old Bay seasoning
- 8 ounces Clamato
Preparation:
1. Place all the ingredients in a pitcher or very large cocktail shaker filled with ice. Stir for a minute or so to combine.
2. Strain over fresh ice into two highball glasses.
3. Garnish with pickled green beans, pickled green tomatoes, olives or celery, as desired.
