This is hardly worthy of being called a recipe, and yet it's one of my favorite dishes, not least because it's so quick and easy. You can also do this with steamed asparagus, but broccoli is really the best - the blue cheese complements the broccoli perfectly. I've also used the Marie's Blue Cheese dressing (available in the produce section at your supermarket) but it's not the same as my dressing recipe. (Larger image.) Serves 2.

Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb. fresh broccoli
- 1/4 c Blue Cheese Dressing (see recipe link below)
Preparation:
1. Bring a small pot of water to a boil then reduce heat until water is simmering vigorously.
2. Add a steamer basket and broccoli and cook until just tender - 13 - 15 minutes.
3. Drain broccoli in a colander and spray with cold water to set the color.
4. Serve, drizzled with Blue Cheese Dressing (recipe here…).
